Be recycle ready
- Place your bins in your driveway, on the side of the road before 6 a.m. on collection day;
- Allow 2 feet of clearance between each bin.
- Close the lid of the bin; and place the handles and wheels facing the building.
- Recycling container can be any colour, as long as it is clearly identified as recycling. There is no limit to containers for recycling.
Accepted and not accepted materials
Paper
Newspapers, flyers, magazines, paper sheets, envelopes, bags, phonebooks, cardboard boxes, egg cartons, gable top milk, juice cartons, and aseptic containers (tetra pak).
Plastic
Bottles, containers, wrappings for food products, drinks, cosmetics, personal hygiene products, and household cleaning products with the recycling logo and numbers 1, 2, 5 and/or 7. No grocery bags, bread bags, chip bags, milk bags, stretch wrap, zip lock bags or cereal box liners.
Metal
Aluminum foil and containers, aluminum bottles and cans, tin cans, caps and lids.
Metal
Bottles and jars regardless of colour. No window glass or ceramics.
