Learn more about recycling collection in Hampton. The town of Hampton consists of three wards:
Ward 1: Former Hampton LSD
Ward 2 Former Town of Hampton
Ward 3: Portions of former Upham and Norton LSDs.
For Ward 1 & 3 residents:
Be recycle ready
- Sort your recyclables into two separate containers – Blue Box for Paper & Cardboard, and the Green Box for Plastic, Metal & Milk Containers.
- Place them loose into the boxes, do not bag your items. The only item that can be in a bag is shredded paper.
- Place your recycling bins at the curb by 6 a.m. on your regular collection day.
- Flatten and break down cardboard boxes to save space on recycling.
- Large quantities of cardboard (6 or more boxes) – bundle & tie so they are no larger than 30” x 30” x 8” (76 cm x 76 cm x 20 cm).
- Glass packaging, flexible plastics, white foam polystyrene, and beverage cardboard are not accepted curbside. Please bring to a redemption centre near you.
- Give containers a quick rinse and remove caps.
-
Leave labels on containers.
