Questions?

Be recycle ready

  • Place your recycling bins at the curb by 6 a.m. on your regular collection day.
  • Flatten and break down cardboard boxes to save space on recycling.
  • It is not necessary to remove the paper covering the tin cans.
  • Leave lids and caps on containers when they have a recycling symbol; put in the trash does that do not have the recycling symbols accepted in our program.
  • Remove plastic handles and metal openings on cardboard boxes. They are not recyclable.
  • Do not put plastic bags, nor biodegradable or compostable bags in the blue bin because they could disrupt the recycling process.
  • Glass packaging and flexible plastics are not accepted curbside and should be taken to a local redemption center.
  • White foam polystyrene and beverage cardboard can be placed in your blue cart or taken to a redemption center near you.
  • Do not leave recyclables outside of the bins. Rain and snow make them unusable.
