Be recycle ready
- Recycling is collected weekly. There is no limit per household on the maximum amount of recycling allowed.
- Your recycling must be at the curb before 7:00 a.m.
- Acceptable bins include only designated recycling bin or a solid plastic container with an R written on the bin clearly visible to the road. A blue or clear bag is also acceptable. The bin must be capable of being lifted into the Collection Vehicle
- Recycling containing unacceptable materials will not be collected.
Sorting materials
- If non-recyclable items end up in your blue bin or other container reserved for this purpose, they will be left on the side of the road.
- Cardboard boxes MUST be flattened in order to be collected. please take off caps and lids. please rinse containers.
- Please remember to take off caps and lids.
Accepted Materials
Paper and cardboard
Newspapers, flyers, magazines, paper sheets, envelopes, bags, phonebooks, cardboard boxes, egg cartons, gable top milk, juice cartons, and aseptic containers (tetra pak).
Plastic
Bottles, containers, wrappings for food products, drinks, cosmetics, personal hygiene products, and household cleaning products with the recycling logo and numbers 1, 2, 5 and/or 7.
Metal
Aluminum foil and containers, aluminum bottles and cans, tin cans, caps and lids.
Glass
Bottles and jars regardless of colour.
Not accepted materials
- Soiled pizza boxes
- Styrofoam or packaging foam
- Single juice boxes, wax-coated boxes
- Tissue paper, paper towels
- Laminated paper
- Plastic grocery store bags
- Bread, chip, milk bags
- Stretch wrap
- Zip lock bags
- Cereal box liners
- Straws, stir sticks
- Blister or bubble packs
- Toys, chairs
- Window glass
- Ceramics
- Electronics
