Be recycle ready

  • Starting in January, recycling collection will take place bi-weekly on Thursdays, with the first collection taking place Thursday, January 2.
  • Please have your cart to the curb after 8 p.m. on Wednesdays.
  • Break down cardboard.

Introducing recycling carts

Starting in January 2025, recycling will be even more convenient with a new recycling cart in Englehart.

    Please contact GFL: 

    • Phone: 1-888-220-4352 
    • Set your recycling cart so that the wheels face away from the curb (towards your home) and the lid opens toward the street. 
    • Ensure the cart is at least 3 feet (1 meter) in front of or beside fences, vehicles, or other obstacles. 
    • Place your cart on a flat surface that is clear of snow and ice to ensure safe collection. 

    If your recyclables don’t fit in the cart, please save the extra materials for your next collection day. 

    Yes, you can request an additional recycling cart from GFL for purchase. 

    Yes, you may use your own cart for recycling collection. 

    Recycling boxes are not accepted in your curbside recycling. Consider reusing it for storage or re-purposing it for another use.
