New Brunswick Multi-Family Dwelling Recycling

Expanded recycling services for multi-family dwellings coming in 2025

Circular Materials is excited to expand New Brunswick’s extended producer responsibility (EPR) recycling program for packaging and paper products to multi-family dwellings (MFDs) starting May 1, 2025, making recycling more accessible for residents.

For the latest updates, refer to our FAQ section below, which will be regularly updated with common questions and program details.

How the program works

MFD property owners and managers who are interested in recycling services can register via our online registry.

Once registered, your MFD information will be shared with Circular Materials’ recycling collector for the respective region or sector.

The recycling collector will then contact the property owner or manager to discuss next steps and may arrange a site visit.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Property owners or managers of MFDs in New Brunswick who wish to receive curbside recycling services should register. If your building is already receiving recycling collection service through the residential program, you do not need to register.

If you own or manage multiple properties, please download the document available in the form and submit it via email to NBoperations@circularmaterials.ca. Our team will follow up with you if additional information is required.

You will need to provide property owner contact details, registered business number, building information, and waste management service details to ensure the smooth setup of recycling services.

After registering, the recycling collector assigned to your region will contact you to discuss the next steps and may arrange a site visit. It is anticipated that recycling collectors will be making contact starting in March 2025.

MFDs can register for recycling services past these deadlines. The deadlines are shown under the Key Dates section. If you have further questions about deadlines, please contact NBOperations@circularmaterials.ca.

If you choose not to provide consent for the collection and use of your personal information, we will not be able to process your registration for recycling services under the EPR program. The information collected is essential for managing service delivery and fulfilling regulatory obligations. If you have any concerns or would like more information about how your data will be used, please contact us at privacy@circularmaterials.ca.

This webpage will serve as the central hub for all information related to the MFDs recycling program. It will be regularly updated with the latest details, deadlines, and guidance.

Joining the EPR program allows property owners, managers, and residents in MFDs (MFDs) to play a key role in improving recycling outcomes across New Brunswick. By participating, you will:

– Increase recycling participation within your property, making it easier for everyone to recycle.
Reduce contamination in recycling streams, ensuring more materials are properly processed and recycled.
Contribute to sustainability by creating a cleaner, more efficient recycling system that benefits both the environment and the community.

This program helps make recycling easier and more effective for everyone.
