As of January 1, 2025, South Dundas’ recycling program will be managed by Circular Materials, a national not-for-profit organization that is committed to building an efficient and effective recycling system in Ontario.

  • Replacement recycling bins.
  • Missed collections.

Be recycle ready

  • Place recycling at the curb by 7:00 am on the day of collection.
  • There is no limit to the amount of recycling that can be placed at curb side; residents are encouraged to recycle applicable materials.
  • Give containers a quick rinse to ensure they are clean, free of residue, and ready for recycling.
  • Flatten and break down cardboard into 2.5 ft x 2.5 ft piles.

  • Non-accepted green box items:
    • Hard Covered Books
    • Waxed or Coated Boxes
    • Styrofoam, Plastic Handles
    • Plastic Bags
  • Glass Bottles and Jars used for food or drink
  • Containers (with recycling symbol on bottom and numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 7 only)
  • Aluminium Pie Plates
  • Foil, Rigid Foils
  • Containers, Trays
  • Non-accepted blue box items:
    • Light Bulbs, Ceramics, Mirrors
    • Window Glass, Pyrex
